In this design, characteristics of the Shingle Style are distilled to their bare architectural essentials. The remaining elements and materials are then adjusted to relate to this historically agricultural setting: concrete, Alaskan cedar, Hemlock. The plan is organized to bring sunlight into all rooms. An indoor pool pavilion projects into the yard, with glass walls that open automatically when the weather permits.
